About Us

Foundation Laurencin for Health is a  501C3 non-profit organization based in New Jersey, that provides health care services to the community in Port-de-Paix, Haiti. We were founded by a group of local farmers and residents of Beauchamp, Haiti along with Haitian-American professionals from the U.S. that wanted to provide better access to care to their community. Prior to our organization, the population in this area had no access to medical services and must travel between 3 and 6 hours over rutted trails to reach the nearest hospital.

Currently, we have a pharmacy and clinic in this region that offers routine physicals, preventative health checks, testing and screening. Our goal is to build a medical center with modem equipment and competent healthcare staff to serve this population. Overall, we want to reduce morbidity and mortality through equitable access of quality medical care.
